Background
The existing Meadowfair Park space is an already developed 8.7-acre space with a youth lot, tot lot, basketball court, restroom, parking lot, picnic areas, walking paths, turf areas, and an undefined soccer field. The undeveloped expansion areas include a 1.8-acre parcel immediately adjacent to the park on the western edge and a potential 0.5-acre transit connection located along East Capitol Expressway.

The combined parkland equals 11 acres and is situated in the Leyva Neighborhood within Council District 8. The City’s goal is to explore, through the Master Plan process, the possibility of expanding the usable park space, determine the community priorities for park programming, and improve neighborhood connections and circulation patterns.
