September 22, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Backesto Park, Japantown, Arena Green and the Rose Garden

The City’s signature open streets event returns with a new route that includes Backesto Park, Japantown, Arena Green and the Rose Garden. For the sixth time, you’re free to bike, skate, wheel, walk, and play in the streets during Viva CalleSJ, a program proudly led by San José's Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services which transforms six miles of open streets into the City’s largest urban park for the day. The event promotes social connectivity and health and wellness, while directly reducing carbon emissions. This year, you can also participate in the Run Viva CalleSJ 5K. Visit www.vivacallesj.org for event and 5K information.
