RESCHEDULED TO APRIL 9: D2 Coyote Ridge Community Hike

Sunday, April 9

To our community members who signed up for the D2 Coyote Ridge Hike,

Due to rain and winds, our team has decided to move the date of the Coyote Ridge Hike from Saturday, April 8th to Sunday, April 9th. Our apologies for making the last minute change, but we want to offer you the best experience possible to enjoy the wildflowers and take in the natural setting of the hillside. The forecast for Sunday, April 9th is showing sunshine!

We will still plan to meet at the County Motorcycle Park at 300 Metcalf Rd., San Jose at 8:45 a.m. with the hike set to start at 9:00 a.m. Look for signs as you enter off 101 and Metcalf Rd.

Parking costs will be covered by the Open Space Authority, who will also be leading the hike for us.

Due to the previous day’s rain conditions: Please wear sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy. Water and granola bars are provided. If you want to bring along a bag lunch to enjoy after the hike, please do.

If you have any questions or need to cancel, please contact or 408-535-4902 Thank you for your understanding,

Councilmember Sergio Jimenez and District 2 Team

You and your family are invited

to join the District 2 team and other neighbors for a 3-mile hike of scenic Coyote Ridge!

There will be amazing views, so don't forget your camera to snap photos.

The 1,000' elevation climb is steep in parts. There is one hill that can be a bit of a challenge for older folks or small children, but it is really short and the rest of the way is mostly flat.

Required: Sturdy walking shoes, long pants, layered clothing, hat, sunglasses. Weather can be cool and breezy -- and possibly muddy -- this time of year.
Recommended: Water, snack, packed lunch, sunscreen, binoculars, camera, walking stick, backpack.

There are no restrooms... or unlimited ones, depending on your point of view!!!

Space is limited to 40 people. There will be free parking for those attending.

If you would like to reserve your spot(s), please RSVP on Eventbrite! You will be asked to complete a form on the day of the hike.

This hike is sponsored by the Open Space Authority and will be led by Craige Edgerton.
