Community groups can begin planning and organizing now so they are ready to help promote the Census in February and March 2010.
EMPLOYEE COMMUNICATION
Use sample newsletter articles about the Census for publication in employee communications (e.g., newsletters, e-mail blasts, etc.) and on your organization’s intranet sites.
Post posters or flyers highlighting the Census on employee and public bulletin boards. To request Census posters, please email SanJose2010Census@sanjoseca.gov.

Encourage your clients/members to participate in the Census.
Help spread the word that the 2010 Census is important, safe, and easy!
Answer questions and help people overcome misconceptions about the 2010 Census. Share the benefits of being counted and reassure your community their questionnaire responses are confidential.
