The 2010 Census — a count of everyone living in the United States — is fast approaching! In mid-March 2010, every household in San Jose will receive a 2010 Census questionnaire. We need you or someone in your household to fill it out and mail it back by April 1, 2010. The information you provide will determine how over $435 billion in federal funds are distributed each year to cities like San Jose for community programs and services, such as education, housing, public health, senior services, transportation, neighborhood improvements and more.
Questionnaire Assistance Centers (QACs) are spaces, donated by the City, where staff from the Local Census Office is available to answer questions about completing the questionnaire, provide special language assistance and answer general questions. In the City of San Jose, the local Census Office has identified 21 possible sites. Questionnaire Assistance Centers will be open on March 19, 2010. Please see below for a preliminary list of QACs in San Jose. To find a Questionnaire Assistance Center near you, please visit http://2010.census.gov/2010census/take10map.
