Artful Aging through Shakespeare Workshops

The City of San José, Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services is excited to be partnering with SV Creates with funding from Aroha Philanthropies to offer three artful aging workshops in 2017. John McCluggage, former associate artistic director of the San Jose Repertory Theatre, will lead the first Shakespeare Workshop at the Camden Community Center on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Participants 50 years and better will have an opportunity to activate their creative juices while working with professional theater artists. Improvisational training, stage reading, discussion, and a performance will be a part of this workshop. To sign up for the Camden Community Center workshop, go to www.sjregistration.com and register using class #257.3.1989. For more information, please contact Teresa Walsh, Recreation Specialist, at (408) 793-4309 or teresa.walsh@sanjoseca.gov.
