Los Lagos Community Engagement Process Completed

Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) has completed the community engagement process to discuss the future of the Los Lagos Golf Course, one of three municipal golf courses in San José. Approximately 216 community members attended three workshops held in February and March at different locations in the City. Residents also had the opportunity to share their ideas through an online survey. Approximately 3,781 surveys from a diverse group of residents were received, most of whom were golfers. Next steps will include the following:

  • Summaries of the workshops will be posted on within the next few weeks
  • Draft report to be presented to the Parks and Recreation Commission in August 2017
  • Final report including recommendations to be presented to City Council in Fall 2017 (September/October)

Project updates and reports will be posted on the website. For more information, please contact Marybeth Harasz, PRNS Deputy Director, at 408-793-5514.
