San Jose-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility Tours
The San José-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility (RWF) has been treating Silicon Valley’s wastewater and protecting public health and the Bay environment since 1956. Join the Environmental Services Department for a free tour on Saturday, April 15 or Saturday, May 20.

Since 1956, the RWF has operated 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to clean Silicon Valley’s wastewater to high national standards. On this tour, you’ll learn about:
  • The vital role the RWF plays in protecting public health, safeguarding the San Francisco Bay and wildlife, and supporting the local economy
  • The RWF Capital Improvement Program, a $1.4 billion effort over 10 years to rebuild and modernize the aging facility and one of the largest public works efforts in South Bay history
Registration is required, and space is limited.
