Envision welcoming spring in all it’s meaning with a movement, crafts, egg games and delicious treats! Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) Therapeutic Art & Wellness (Grace) members celebrated the start of the season on Friday, April 14 at Bascom Community Center by testing spring trivia knowledge, vying for speed and agility in egg contests, and finding inspiration in egg dying and art and crafts. Members tested their knowledge on all things bunnies, eggs and spring, while also enjoying delicious smoothies. After lunch, participants enjoyed game stations, and the day ended with peep fruit kabobs, prizes, and music. The Therapeutic Art & Wellness Center creates a culture of wellness with meaningful social, recreation and therapeutic programming. Its goal is to guide and empower adults with mental illness and other cognitive disabilities in need of behavioral health services on a path to healthy lifestyles.
