Beekeeping and Beyond Workshops

Fascinated by bees? Become a backyard beekeeper! Steve Demkowski, Happy Hollow’s resident beekeeper and owner of Willow Glen Honey, will be offering seven workshops throughout 2019 at Happy Hollow Park & Zoo. Learn the basics of beekeeping and move on to hands on hive management, installing bees, gathering swarms, harvesting honey, mite control and preparing hives for the winter. Note: these workshops are age 18 and up. For more information, contact Justin Long, PRNS Deputy Director, at 408-793-5579.
