San José Tribute Hotel Project


The City of San José has prepared the First Amendment to the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) for the San José Tribute Hotel Project (Planning File Nos. H16-042 and HP17-003). The First Amendment includes the comment letters received by the City during the public comment period of the Draft SEIR and the City’s responses to the comments, as well as any text changes to the Draft SEIR.

Location:
An approximately 25,000 square-foot portion of the parcel occupied by the Four Points by Sheraton San José hotel (the former Montgomery Hotel, a National, State, and City landmark) at 211 S. First Street.


Project Description: The project applicant seeks a Site Development Permit and Historic Preservation Permit to construct an approximately 186,500 gross square-foot hotel addition of 274 guest rooms in a new 24-story tower on the north portion of the site, at the location of an existing courtyard.
