The Gardner Community Center is a welcoming, positive place providing a weekday lunch program and other social activities for older adults over the age of 60 and those who are disabled. We also host a number of special cultural events and holiday celebrations.

Programs Offered

Senior Nutrition Program

The City of San José in partnership with Bateman Senior meals, provides nutritious meals to Older Adults 50+ at 13 community centers throughout the city. All meals served at our community centers meet county health standards.

R.O.C.K Afterschool program

Recreation of City Kids (R.O.C.K.) Afterschool Program offers enrichment, healthy recreation, developmental assets, homework assistance, safety, and fun afterschool care for students.

San Jose Recreation Preschool

Children will be introduced to socialization, positive self-esteem, following directions, and simple learning concepts. Children will work on hand eye coordination and motor skills, while gaining independence through the use of circle time, music, songs, stories, play, arts and crafts. Food will be provided for cooking activities and may be provided for special events. Children must be fully potty trained before the start of class.
