Overview
The Gardner Community Center is a welcoming, positive place providing a weekday lunch program and other social activities for older adults over the age of 60 and those who are disabled. We also host a number of special cultural events and holiday celebrations.

Programs Offered

Senior Nutrition Program

The City of San José in partnership with Bateman Senior meals, provides nutritious meals to Older Adults 50+ at 13 community centers throughout the city. All meals served at our community centers meet county health standards.

Benefit of Senior Nutrition Program

  • Served Monday-Friday
  • Lunch is served 12-1pm
  • Only $3 for those 60+
  • Only $9 for those under 60 years old

Youth Programming

 City of San Jose offers an afterschool program for youth attending Gardner Elementary School. Program offers a wide variety of afterschool supportive services for youth including recreational opportunities, homework assistance, sports activities and other enrichment activities.
