The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) is bringing its Annual Conference to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center on October 17-20, 2009. This event will draw more than 3,000 attendees from around the world. We invite you to help welcome conference attendees and their families by volunteering at this conference. 

Volunteers will be needed to help welcome and provide assistance to attendees and their families at this conference. Volunteers are expected to be needed starting on October 15 or 16, 2010. (Training will be provided and you can sign up for as many shifts as your schedule allows. Weekday, weekend, and evening shifts will be made available.)

Volunteer to Participate in:

• Welcoming conference attendees at the airport, conference hotels and at the Convention
  Center
• Providing directional and transportation assistance
• Providing general concierge assistance
• Helping at special events, and more!

Volunteering Benefits:

• Meet government professionals from throughout the world
• Learn and have the opportunity to showcase the Silicon Valley
• All volunteers will also be provided with a volunteer resources information, name badge
  and conference shirt to wear while volunteering
• Light refreshments will also be available

Volunteer Guidelines:

• Local government employees should have their volunteer participation approved by their
  immediate supervisor and agency
• Volunteers must be at least 18 years
