    Green Vision Art Contest

In 2007, Mayor Chuck Reed asked children (13 years old or under) throughout San Jose to submit their creative interpretations of the ten Green Vision Goals. Through a process that included the Mayor's Office and each Council Office, the ten finalists were selected.

Winners led the Pledge of Allegiance at the 2008 Community Breakfast featuring the State of the City Address. The ten artists recieved four tickets to both the Monterey Bay Aquarium External Link and the Rosicrucian Egyptian Musuem External Link, generously donated by each organization.

We appreciate the time and effort from everyone who submitted artwork. We encourage you to continue to think about environmental issues and the steps your family can take to limit our impact on the planet.
