"It was a big day for the voters to say 'we have got to do this differently, we can't just keep laying people off and cutting services year after year.' We have to get control over these costs and that's what we're going to do."

"We’re already seeing progress. We've gone from about 1,500 clean tech jobs to 3,000 clean tech jobs in the last year. That sector continues to grow, so we're very optimistic about creating new jobs. In the process, we're going save some money as we participate in energy efficiency and conservation, saving this city money directly."
