ICMA (exetrnal link)
ICMA is the professional and educational organization for chief appointed managers, administrators, and assistants in cities, towns, counties, and regional entities throughout the world.  It developes and fosters professional local government management worldwide.

Cal-ICMA (exetrnal link)
California has created a new model for its affiliation on a state level with ICMA.  This new model, called Cal-ICMA, is a collaboration of the California City Managers’ Department (CMD); the California City Managers Foundation (CCMF); the two assistants groups (MMANC and MMASC); the County CAOs; the COG Directors; along with members of the academic community and from all of the other ICMA membership categories. Cal-ICMA is now the "official" state affiliate with ICMA and is inclusive of all ICMA members without creating another “organization” with a separate dues structure.

Municipal Management Association of Northern Californa (MMANC) (exetrnal link)
MMANC is a non-profit membership organization of local government management professionals located throughout the 49 counties of Northern California. MMANC was formed in 1950 to address the professional needs of public management staff.

Women Leading Government (WLG) (exetrnal link)
WLG is an initiative started in November 2006 by Cal-ICMA Preparing the Next Generation. Organized by female managers of California’s cities, counties, and special districts, WLG is designed to assist female managers in their career development. WLG welcomes all people dedicated to public service and the development of women leaders.

National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) (exetrnal link)
NFBPA is the principal and most progressive organization dedicated to the advancement of black public leadership in local and state governments. An independent, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1983, the NFBPA has established a national reputation for designing and implementing quality leadership development initiatives of unparalleled success.

International Hispanic Network (IHN) (exetrnal link)
The purpose of the International Hispanic Network is to encourage professional excellence among Hispanic local government administrators, to improve the management of local government, to provide unique resources to Hispanic local government executives and public managers, and to advance the goals of professional, effective and ethical local government administration. The Network works with other organization such as the International City Management Association which shares common goals.

San José Economic Development
The Office of Economic Development guides the City's economic strategy, provides assistance for business success, helps connect employers with trained workers, and provides Art and Cultural resources to our community.

San José Redevelopment Agency
The San José Redevelopment Agency (SJRA) is a public, government organization created in 1956 by the City of San José to improve the quality of life for all who live, work, and play in the City by creating jobs, developing affordable housing, strengthening neighborhoods, andbuilding public facilities.

work2future
Work2Future functions as the local administrative arm of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA). Work2Future operates three One-Stop Career Centers in the areas of San José, Campbell and South County. It also provides workforce development services for the cities of Los Gatos, Morgan Hill, Los Altos Hills, Saratoga, Monte Sereno, and the unincorporated areas of Santa Clara County.
