Cesar E. Chavez Breakfast at the Mexican Heritage Plaza - March 31, 2005

On March 31, 2005, Nancy attended the Cesar E. Chavez breakfast at the Mexican Heritage Plaza (1700 Alum Rock Ave.). The breakfast theme was His Life and Work and was attended by members of the Chavez family, San Jose Mayor Ron Gonzales, members of the City Council, and community leaders.

The building is a 55,000 square-foot cultural center that will serve as a regional resource for cultural programming and education. Built in association with the San Jose Redevelopment Agency, it is one of the largest Latino cultural centers built from the ground up in the nation.
