Josue Garcia, Chief of Staff

Josué Garcĺa is a longtime resident of East San José. Prior to joining the Office of Councilmember Xavier Campos, Josué began his career as a tradesman and most recently held the position of Deputy Executive Officer for the Santa Clara County Building Trades Council. Josué has been actively involved in the community where he has been recognized for his work, including the 2009 MACSA Silicon Valley Most Influential Latinos Award.

Kathy Tsukamoto, Executive Assistant and Scheduler

Kathy Tsukamoto serves as Executive Assistant and Scheduler to Councilmember Xavier Campos. Prior to coming to the Office of Councilmember Campos, Kathy was Executive Assistant and Scheduler to Councilmember Nora Campos.  Kathy has been with the City of San José for 8 years and began her public service career working in the City Manager’s Office. Prior to coming to work for the City of San José she worked with the Vice President’s Office of Agency for State Farm Insurance.  Kathy is a life-long resident of East San José. She and her Husband of 27 years were raised in the Alum Rock Community. She is proud to say that she, her husband and their two children are alumnus of the Alum Rock and East Side School Districts. Their Son, Adam is currently a Junior at San José State University, majoring in Jazz Performance. Their Daughter, Amanda will be entering College in the fall, majoring in Political Science.

Diego Barragan, Policy Analyst

Diego Barragán was raised in San José and attended San José State University where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. While in college, Diego interned in the offices of Vice Mayor Cindy Chavez and Congressman Mike Honda. Prior to joining Councilmember Xavier Campos’ staff, Diego worked for Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren. Diego is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration at Santa Clara University.

Joseph Sanchez, Community Affairs Specialist

Joseph received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Santa Clara University and worked as a Public Relations Specialist at the Santa Clara Valley Water District while in college. After attending Santa Clara University, Joseph worked as an Assistant Paralegal for a successful corporate immigration law firm in Santa Clara. Joseph has also been actively involved in various political campaigns and currently volunteers for a number of non-profits in San Jose
