School District Quarterly Report

Thank you for entering into a Waste Reduction and Recycling Cooperation Agreement with the City of San José. Through this Agreement, the District agrees to adopt and implement a waste diversion policy that applies to all schools, offices, and/or operations within the District’s jurisdiction to advance waste prevention and recycling efforts. In recognition of the District’s diversion efforts, the City has set the commercial solid waste franchise fee for solid waste collection at zero dollars.

Completing the quarterly report is a requirement of the Waste Reduction and Recycling Cooperation Agreement. The report captures the status and progress of your District’s activities and programs that reduce the generation of solid waste and promote diversion of recyclables and compostable materials from landfills. The report also captures the total quantity of materials collected at each school and/or facility within your District and the amount of solid waste, recyclables, green waste, and compostable materials within that total quantity. This report is due to the City on a quarterly basis (every three months) on the last day of the month following each quarter end. Thus, the report due dates are January 31, April 30, July 31, and October 31.
