What does the fencing look like?
The fencing is approximately 10 feet high, the fencing sits upon a 3 foot high concrete block.

When is the block fencing going to be put in?
The block fencing will be installed over several weeks. To view the block fencing schedule please see following schedule.

Is there going to be additional trash collection as a result of the event?
The Grand Prix will be providing additional trash receptacles in neighborhoods to help minimize trash circulating in the neighborhood. A contractor will be hauling trash away throught the day and night of the event period.

What is going to be done about the on street parking of race patrons during the event period?
The Department of Transportation and the San Jose Police Department will increase parking enforcement and signage around the neighborhood.

Will the noise of the race impact my animals?
The race cars are very loud and could startle some pets. If you have pets you are strongly encouraged to leave your animals inside, or board them outside of the race perimeter over the three days of the race.

Which streets are going to be closed?
The following streets will be closed from Wednesday, July 25, evening through early Monday morning:
· North Bound Market St. between William St. and San Salvador St.
· South Bound Market Sts between William St. and San Fernando St.
· Both directions of Almaden Blvd between Santa Clara St. and Reed St.
· San Fernando St. between Almaden Ave. and Delmas Ave.
· San Carlos St. between Market St. and Woz Way
· Park Ave. between Market St. and Woz Way
· Woz Way between Almaden Blvd. and Auzerais St.
· Post St. between Almaden Ave. and Almaden Blvd.
· Balbach St.
· Viola St.

How will race attendees be getting into the downtown?
Race attendees will be encouraged to use Taylor St., Julian St. and Park Ave. offramps from Route 87 and Bird Ave, Vine St, Almaden Blvd, 7th St, or 10/11th St offramps from 280. Coleman St. will be recommended for those coming off of 880. Changeable signs located on the freeway will direct race attendees to the least congested exit. None of the offramps that serve downtown are expected to be closed during the event.
