Council Policy Priority

Since 2011, the San José City Council has participated in priority-setting sessions to determine which potential or pending ordinances and policy initiatives hold priority for completion in the months and year ahead. The Council Priority Setting Session allows City Council to prioritize the most important policy items for the coming year. Policy work includes changes to City policies, adoption of new plans or strategies, or development of new policies, programs, or code sections.

There are 25 items on the Council’s current policy priorities set by the City Council at the March 5, 2019 Council Priority Setting Session.
