Eyeglass and Cell Phone Recycling
The Lions club maintains a collection box for used eyeglasses and cell phones in Room 18. Don’t let them just sit in a drawer!  Donated eyeglasses are sorted by prescription and distributed around the world to needy patients by the Lions Club organization.  Old cell phones are converted into emergency assistance phones for seniors.

Haircuts (Free)
Our volunteer hair dresser provides free haircuts on Mondays from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. There is no charge for the haircut but tips are appreciated. Clients should come with freshly washed hair. We accept clients on a first-come – first served basis. Sign up in Room 18.

Homeowner's and Renter's Assistance

Volunteers will be available at Kirk to help with applications. Call 408-269-0214 to make an appointment.

Senior Adult Legal Assistance (SALA)  provides free legal advice, brief consultations and representation in a wide range of civil (not criminal) legal matters for Santa Clara county residents who are 60 years of age and older. Issues regarding Social Security, SSI, Support Services, Elder Abuse, Housing, and Nursing Homes, and the preparation of simple wills and Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care documents, are some of the legal concerns covered.
