Community Center Projects

Merriam-Webster dictionary defines community as

a unified body of individuals: as

A: State; Commonwealth

B: the people with common interests living in a particular area; broadly : the area itself and; the problems of a large community

C: an interacting population of various kinds of individuals.

With this definition in mind, the City of San Jose supports its communities interaction by supplying those communities with community centers where the people can go to meet and socialize. The Parks & Recreation Facilities Division takes the communities needs and turns them into actions. Our staff is involved with the process from beginning to end. Listening to the community and its needs, our staff incorporates these needs into community centers that can be enjoyed by all. From our staff of Architects, Landscape Architects, Construction Administrators and Inspectors comes the wealth of knowledge necessary to deliver the products as envisioned by the community leaders.
