The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is an active group of 10-20 youth, 14-21 years old, in each of San José's ten council districts. YAC members dedicate their time, talent and ideas to promote positive changes in their community. They identify and tackle youth issues, host special events, participate in volunteer activities and address the needs of their district residents. There is one official Youth Advisory Council in every City of San José district.
How to become a YAC member?
If you would like to become involved or check out a YAC meeting, contact your District's Youth Commissioner or the Youth Commission Staff at 408-793-5559. Everyone is welcome to participate!
