Caring for Your Street Tree and the Community Forest

 
 

MD20: Renaissance - First

 


md20Description

This area is inclusive of the median islands located on North First Street from Nortech Parkway to Tasman Drive, around Lamplighter Sanitary Station, and on Renaissance Drive. It also includes the south frontage landscaping on Renaissance Drive. The median islands on Renaissance Drive are currently undergoing renovations.

Tree Services

Tree management services are provided for all purple leaf plum trees (Prunus cerasifera) located in the median island on First Street and the bronze loquat trees (Eryobrotrya deflexa) located in the median islands on Renaissance Drive. These services include:
• Pruning, planting and removal/replacement.
• Pest control applications and Integrated Pest Management primarily for Tussock Moth control.
• Fertilization of plant material
• Staking and guying of trees – monitoring, replacing, repairing or removing
