Proposed Planned Development Zoning, Planned Development Permit, and Subdivision 0 Seely Avenue Mixed-Use Project File Nos. PDC21-035, PD22-002, PT22-003 & ER21-284

Meeting Purpose: 

To discuss the applicant’s proposed project, the City’s project and environmental review processes, to obtain community input, and provide an overview of issues to be discussed in the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) analysis to comply with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) relative to the 0 Seely Avenue Mixed-Use Project located at northwest corner of Montague Expressway and Seely Avenue. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help refine the project as it moves forward in the review process. Public input on the scope of the EIR is encouraged so that the review addresses all relevant environmental issues. The Notice of Preparation (NOP) for the EIR is being circulated for public review and comment on the proposed scope of work from Wednesday, February 23, 2022 to Friday March 25, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. and is available on the City’s Environmental Review, Active EIRs webpage under the project name and file number (0 Seely Avenue Mixed-Use Project – PDC21-035/PD22-022/ER21-284/PT22-033) at the following link: http://www.sanjoseca.gov/ActiveEIRs[HS1] . Verbal comments on the NOP will be accepted at the community meeting and written comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project and EIR as illustrated in the permit process chart below.

Proposed Project:

  • File No. PDC21-035: Planned Development Rezoning from the IP Zoning District to a Planned Development Zoning District
  • File No. PD22-002: Planned Development Permit to allow the construction of a mixed-use development consisting of four multi-family buildings and townhomes totaling 1,470 residential units, 52,107-square feet of retail space and a public park on an approximately 22.2-gross acre site
  • File No. PT22-003: Vesting Tentative Map to reconfigure two lots into 48 lots and allow for up to 154 residential condominiums and up to 6 commercial condominiums.
  • File No. ER21-284: Environmental review of the proposed project.
