Holi

  • Date: 03/18/2022 (all day)
Holi is a popular Indian festival, also known as the "festival of colors", which celebrates the beginning of spring and the end of the winter season. It originated and is predominantly celebrated in India, but has also spread around the globe, including the U.S.A., through the diaspora from the Indian subcontinent. The festival is celebrated at the end of the winter season. Celebrations start on the night before Holi with religious rituals in front of a bonfire. The next morning is celebrated as Rangwali Holi – a free-for-all festival of colors, where people smear each other with colors and drench each other.
