IPA Recommendations
One of the core functions of the IPA office each year is to make policy recommendations to the San Jose Police Department (SJPD) to improve SJPD’s policies and procedures. We are able to make informed recommendations based on our unique perspective reviewing complaint investigations, listening to community concerns during our outreach events, as well as conducting our own research on law enforcement best practices.
The interactive dashboard below allows users to view every recommendation made by the IPA. We have grouped them by subject-matter categories as well as their implementation status. The search function also allows users to search for a specific recommendation or key word.
This policy dashboard is modified on a quarterly basis to reflect changes and updates.
