The City will host a town hall meeting to inform the community about Climate Smart San José (CSSJ).
CSSJ, formerly known as the Environmental Sustainability Plan, is a City of San José initiative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and ensure a long-term water supply. Climate Smart San José will make San José a climate leader, putting the City on a path to meet GHG reduction targets under the Paris climate agreement. The plan has three components: energy, mobility and water.
The City will release a draft of the plan this month. Residents are encouraged to provide their feedback at that time by visiting the Climate Smart San José website.
The town hall meeting will inform the community about the plan and give residents an opportunity to ask questions. The City Council will consider adopting the plan on Feb. 27.
The City values your feedback in creating Climate Smart San José.
