The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services will be providing recommended activities to do within the comfort of your home through the Virtual Recreation Center.

Try-It-Out Thursday Activities

Here are some recommended activities related to inspiring creativity and trying new things at home:

Origami Way Learn how to make easy origami with these simple instructions and diagrams. Origami doesn't have to be difficult and frustrating. There are lots of figures that are easy and fun to make. Just follow the step by step guide and you'll be able to fold something in little time.

Día de los Libros Storytime with California’s First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom

Facebook Live on 4/30 from 10 - 10:30 a.m.

The First Partner will lead a reading in English and Spanish of the “We Count” Book, which teaches kids the importance of getting counted in the 2020 census. The book can be downloaded here.
