Wonder Wednesday: Daily Recommendations for Recreation

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services will be providing recommended activities to do within the comfort of your home through the Virtual Recreation Center.

Wonder Wednesday Activities

As the world changes at an unprecedented pace, take some time to look at the world differently, and learn in a world that looks different. Here's some recommended activities:

Skyhawk SoccerTots at Home Live on Zoom

Free Live Zoom SoccerTots at home on 5/6 from 10 a.m. to 10:35 a.m.

Registration required. SoccerTots programs develop motor skills and self-confidence in a fun, engaging format. Skyhawks is excited to bring our best instructors together with our most popular games, to offer a unique at-home class that promotes the early development of soccer skills and a love for an active lifestyle. This fast-paced program will keep your child engaged with imaginative warm-up's and exciting activities that disguise learning and focus on fun! (Ages 3-6)

Skyhawk PhysEd Fun at Home Live on Zoom

Free Live Zoom Physical Education Fun at Home on 5/6 12:30 p.m. to 1:05 p.m.

Registration required. This free virtual camp preview will let you sample what our five-week PhysEd Fun With Skyhawks program will look like! An engaging physical education experience designed for the home. With a passionate instructor at it's core, this program will offer students a wide variety of activities that involve locomotor, non-locomotor, manipulative skills and fitness development exercises. Our goal for the program is to build self-confidence, body awareness and a passion for an active lifestyle in each participant. Get ready for a good work out! (Ages 5-9).
