The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services will be providing recommended activities to do within the comfort of your home through the Virtual Recreation Center.

Here are some recommended activities related to inspiring creativity and trying new things at home:

LIVE Virtual Cooking Event with TRIO's Chef Mario

Thursday, 5/28 at 9:30 a.m. 

Join TRIO’s Chef Mario in the preparation of delicious smoothies with homemade granola. Also, Stephanie Pradun, a TRIO Registered Dietitian, will share her nutrition expertise.  More information on how to join here

SJ Connects: Continuing Education Guidance virtually Do you want to go back to school for your high school diploma, GED, or other high school equivalency option? The SJ Connects virtual program will get you on the path to continuing your education! Meet with a Librarian one-on-one via Zoom to explore educational opportunities tailored to your personality, motivation, needs, and skills. You will be referred to the school or schools that best suit your personal and academic needs. By appointment only. Please register online or by emailing rosalinda.savercool@sjlibrary.org. You will then be contacted to schedule an appointment for May 28th. Suitable for: Teens, ages 12-18 & Adults, ages 18+
National Hamburger Day National Hamburger Day is observed each year on May 28. This day celebrates a summer-time grilling favorite and National Hamburger Day is part of National Hamburger Month.
Santa Clara County Office of Education's Parent Engagement Series Santa Clara County Parents & Caregivers, join Jamie Koo, Parent Engagement Specialist, for their upcoming Parent Support Webinars at 1PM PST on Academic Content Support. The webinar is designed to give parents tools and strategies to help guide their children through the academic areas of History/Social Studies, Science, and Math. Jaime will provide basic concepts to look for and tips for how parents can support their kids with learning
