The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services will be providing recommended activities to do within the comfort of your home through the Virtual Recreation Center.

Mindfulness Monday Activities

Mindfulness means being present, aware of your actions, and not feeling overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around you. Here's some recommended activities related to mindfulness:

LIVE Zumba Gold with Volunteer Instructor Jamie

Monday, 7/6 at 10 a.m. 

"Ditch the workout, Join the party!" Join Volunteer Instructor Jamie every Monday at 10:00 a.m. Dance, socialize, and burn lots of calories with this fun modifies Zumba option for active older adults. Zumba Gold recreates all the same Zumba moves you know and love with lower intensity and lower impact while still focusing on balance, range of motion, and coordination. LIVE COVID-19 Safe Walking Tip Webinar -  Evergreen

Monday, 7/6 at 2 p.m.

7/6/2020 at 2pm, join California Walks and the City of San José Department of Transportation for a webinar on older adult safe walking tips. We’ll talk about safe places to cross, how to be more visible, and new practices for safe walking during COVID-19.
