Video is in Vietnamese, but you can follow along at home! Buoyancy is the scientific principle that describes objects floating on top of a body of water, whether it’s a lake, a pond, or a pot in your kitchen. Test objects in your kitchen and house for buoyancy!
Materials Needed:
- Items that sink
- Metal spoon
- Metal toy car
- Coffee mug
- Golf ball
- Water bottle (full)
- Crayon
- Items that float
- Plastic spoon
- Plastic toy car
- Aluminum foil
- Paper cup
- Tennis ball
- Pencil
- Container to do the experiment in
- Plastic tub / basin / pot / bucket
- Optional materials:
- Fruits: orange / tomato / cherry / apple and/or apricot
