The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services will be providing recommended activities to do within the comfort of your home through the Virtual Recreation Center.

Wonder Wednesday Activities

As the world changes at an unprecedented pace, take some time to look at the world differently, and learn in a world that looks different. Here's some recommended activities:

Science Is Everywhere: Monster Gummy Bears — Osmosis

Water can be found in some surprising places!

Join us for a fun experiment that shows how water can move from things like gummy bears to mixtures like salt water.

Materials Needed:

  • 4 gummy bears
  • 3 glasses, salt
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Tablespoon
  • Regular spoon
  • Microwave

Suitable for Grade Level: 2-5
