Meeting Purpose: The purpose of this meeting is to share information and gather feedback on draft amendments to the Diridon Station Area Plan, originally adopted in 2014, and the Draft Diridon Affordable Housing Implementation Plan. Topics of interest include: land use, design, parks/recreation, public space, transportation, housing, displacement prevention, social equity, and sustainability. Draft Plans:

• Amended Diridon Station Area Plan (File No. GP20-007) – in 2019, the City initiated an amendment process intended to: adapt the DSAP to current circumstances; align it with the other adopted and ongoing plans; integrate equity considerations; and support DSAP implementation through private development and public investments. 

• Affordable Housing Implementation Plan – outlines housing-related goals and potential strategies to produce new affordable housing units, preserve the affordability of the neighborhoods for lower-income residents, and protect vulnerable residents from displacement. It applies to the Diridon Station Area and surrounding neighborhoods within a half-mile distance (referred to as the Neighborhood Stabilization Area). It includes data analysis, case studies, and evaluation of opportunities and constraints to help inform the policy recommendations.
