Proposed Conditional Use Permit at 2880 Alum Rock Avenue, Community Meeting, Project No. CP20-025

Meeting Purpose:  To describe the applicant’s proposed project, the City’s review process, and to obtain community input on the project located on the south side of the street at 2880 Alum Rock Avenue. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart below.

 

Proposed project:

Conditional Use Permit (File No. CP20-025) to allow the demolition of an existing vacant 8,200 square foot commercial building and associated surface parking, the removal of three ordinance-size trees, and the construction of one mixed-use six-story building (Building A - 76.5 feet in height) with 7,000 square feet of commercial space and 119 residential units (100% affordable) one multifamily residential six-story building (Building B - 76.5 feet in height) with 45 units (100% affordable) and associated podium garage parking, landscaping, and amenities.
