Proposed Project File Nos. GPT21-002, PP21-008, C21-013, and C21-021
1) City-initiated General Plan Amendment to make updates to the Rincon South Urban Village plan, including changes to allowable building heights within the boundary of the plan and modifications to certain design guidelines and policies for future development; 2) Retirement of the North San José Area Development Policy, including modifications to the North San Jose Design Guidelines; 3) City-initiated rezonings to rezone various properties from the IP, CN, CG, CP, CO, LI, R-M, and R2 Zoning Districts to Urban Village Zoning District and from LI and CN Zoning Districts to CIC Combined Industrial Commercial District.
Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the process. There are continued opportunities throughout the planning process to publicly comment on the project.
Purpose: The purpose of this meeting is to receive feedback from the community for the proposed changes to the Rincon South Urban Village plan., including discussing Senate Bill 1333 which requires charter cities such as San José to align and match zoning districts and General Plan land use designations. Information will also be provided on the rezoning process and to answer questions regarding the rezoning of your property.
