Meeting Purpose: To describe the applicant’s proposed project, the City’s environmental review and planning process, and to obtain community input on the project and issues to be discussed in the Environmental Impact Report (EIR)for the project located at 550 East Brokaw Road. This Community and EIR Scoping Meeting will be held in compliance with the city’s Public Outreach Policy (6-30) and the California Environmental Quality Act, as amended. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. Public input on the scope of the EIR is also encouraged so that the environmental review addresses all relevant environmental issues. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart below.
Proposed Project: Site Development Permit to allow the demolition of an existing commercial building, the removal of 258 trees, the construction of seven office buildings totaling 1,924,110 square feet and two parking garages totaling approximately 1,647,920 square feet, and a Vesting Tentative Map to subdivide one parcel into four parcels on an approximately 19.70-gross acre site.
