Meeting Purpose: To describe the proposed project, the environmental review and planning process, and obtain community input on the project and issues to be discussed in the Supplement Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) to the Downtown Strategy 2040 EIR. Public input on the scope of the SEIR is encouraged so that the review addresses all relevant environmental issues. The Notice of Preparation (NOP) for the SEIR is available for review online in the EIR Library of the City of San Jose’s Planning Division web site: www.sanjoseca.gov/ActiveEIRs.
Project Location: 300 South 1st Street and 345 South 2nd Street
Proposed Project: Site Development Permit to allow the demolition of an existing three-story building, and to allow the construction of one 20-story office building with two towers totaling approximately 1.39 million square feet, with ground floor retail space and four levels of underground parking on a 2.84-gross acre site.
