Proposed Special Use Permit at 420 S. 2nd Street and 420 S. 3rd Street, Community Meeting, Project Nos. SP21-019 & SP21-020

Meeting Purpose:  To describe the applicant’s proposed project, the City’s review process, and to obtain community input on the projects located at 420 South 2nd Street and 420 South 3rd Street. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart below.

 

Proposed Projects:

SP21-019: Special Use Permit to allow the demolition of all existing buildings on site for the construction of two mixed-use towers (12 and 22 stories respectively) consisting of up to 254 residential units and approximately 8,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space with up to 6 commercial condominiums on the south side of East San Salvador Street between South 2nd and South 3rd Streets (420 South 2nd Street).

 

SP21-020: Special Use Permit to allow the demolition of an existing apartment building and the removal of five trees for the construction of a 20-story mixed use tower consisting of up to 152 residential units and approximately 3,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space with up to 3 commercial condominiums on an approximately 0.49-gross acre site located on the east side of South 3rd Street approximately 130 feet south of East San Salvador Street (420 South 3rd Street).
