Volunteer Service Agreement forms must be filled out and are available at the link below. All persons under 17 must have a parent signature.

Join the Nikkei Matsuri Organization and the City of San José in an Adopt-A-Park event for a day of weeding, pruning and general cleanup! Enjoy the beauty and tranquility while giving back to this special San José landmark.

As of August 23, 2021, the City of San José is requiring all volunteers to provide proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results in order to volunteer at City sponsored events. On the day of the volunteer event please be ready to present to staff:

• Your vaccination card, picture of your vaccination card or your State of California QR code/digital card in-person AND government issued ID; OR
• A negative COVID-19 test result within 7 days of the volunteer event in which you are participating AND government issued ID. Test must include name, specimen collection date and result.

 **This requirement applies to volunteers who are currently eligible to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine.**

No experience is necessary! All tools and instruction will be provided. Please bring a filled water bottle, snacks and wear closed toe shoes. Dress for the weather!

Event proceeds, Rain or Shine!

Safety is our priority. COVID-19 symptom checks and protocols will be in place. Wear a face covering, maintain social distancing and PLEASE, stay home if you are sick.

We will meet at the Japanese Friendship Garden main gate entrance on Senter Road. Parking is free and available at the main parking lot-1300 Senter Rd.

Registration is at 8:45 a.m., event begins at 9 a.m.and ends at 12 p.m.
