The San José Fire Department is holding a free Women’s Boot Camp on Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the San José Fire Training Center. This event is geared towards women in the San José area who are looking to make a positive change in their career. This all female-staffed, judgement-free workout and information session will answer all your questions about careers for women in the fire service. The event will include:
90-minute circuit training workout
SJFD female firefighters sharing their personal experiences in the fire service
Q&A session with the women of SJFD
Demos featuring actual firefighting tools and equipment
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED: Registration is open to adults ages 18 years or older. Space is limited to 60 participants. Once all spots are filled, you will have the option to be placed on a waitlist and notified if space becomes available. This event has filled up quickly in the past, so don’t delay in registering if you’re interested in attending. REQUIRED FORMS: On the day of the event, all participants will be required to complete a ‘Waiver of Liability’ form and a ‘Photo/Video Release’ form in order to participate in this event.
REFRESHMENTS: Water, coffee and snacks will be provided.
ATTIRE: Participants should wear comfortable athletic apparel and proper shoes.
NOTE TO PAST PARTICIPANTS: If you attended the 2019 or 2020 SJFD Women’s Boot Camp, we respectfully request you postpone registering until the waitlist is open. Due to the high demand for this event, we would like new participants to have priority registration.
