Meeting Purpose: To describe the applicant’s proposed project, the City’s review process, and to obtain community input on the project located at 425 S Winchester Boulevard. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart below.
Proposed project{s): A General Plan Diagram Amendment (GP23-007) to amend the land use designation for 390 Spar Avenue from Residential Neighborhood to Mixed Use Neighborhood, and Conforming Rezoning (C23-099) to change the zoning district from R-1-8 Single-Family to MUN Mixed Use Neighborhood on an approximately 0.22-gross-acre site; a General Plan Text Amendment (GPT23-001) to amend The Santana Row/Valley Fair Urban Village Plan to make certain modifications to the height, setback, and daylight plane requirements; a Special Use Permit (SP23-005) to allow for the removal of 3 trees and the demolition of an existing gas station for the construction of an approximately 90,917-square foot, seven-story, 185 room hotel on an approximately 0.55-gross-acres site.
