We're holding five pop-ups during the second week of September. Take a look at the following dates and locations, and meet us there!
- Wednesday, September 11 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Lincoln Avenue and Minnesota Avenue at Willow Glen Elementary School.
- Wednesday, September 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. Meridian Avenue and Branham Avenue at Branham High School.
- Thursday, September 12 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Santa Theresa Avenue and Snell Avenue at Santa Theresa High School.
- Thursday, September 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. Willow Street and Bird Avenue at Three Creeks Trail.
- Friday, September 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. Fourth Street and Santa Clara Street at San José City Hall.
These upcoming pop-ups allow the Department of Transportation (DOT) to test temporary pedestrian safety improvements. We invite anyone and everyone to join us, so you can try out these potential upgrades. DOT staff will also collect data about how these improvements perform.
These potential designs would protect vulnerable people who walk, such as children and older adults. We plan to install these kinds of improvements in areas near schools, retail, and transit stops. Join us at an upcoming pop-up and provide feedback to DOT staff.
