Meeting Purpose:

To introduce the City Streamlined Review Process, describe the proposed project, and to obtain community input on the ministerial review process. Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help inform the project’s design as it moves forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart below.

Proposed description:

The City of San José is proposing a streamlined review process for housing development projects. The streamlined review process would allow for ministerial approval on infill housing development projects that meet specified growth areas that meet specific site and project criteria. This project would create a new local ministerial process and update the ministerial approvals section of the Zoning Code (Chapter 20.195).
