Welcome Back Picnickers!

San José is home to nine sprawling regional parks and over 209 neighborhood parks, many with reservable picnic areas for small or large group gatherings.

Located in some of the valley’s most picturesque surroundings, their natural environments are a perfect background for any special occasion. Given the large number of choices available, park staff can help you navigate our park system and find the best location for your event.

Notice:

Almaden Lake Park all-inclusive playground construction starts June 2024 through December 2024. The Tot Lot is available on the Winfield side of the lake.
Fowler Creek Park parking lot will be temporarily unavailable for public use until further notice. Please be advised of the parking impacts.

This 203-acre park has eight reservable and several first-come, first-served picnic areas. The park offers numerous water activities such as boating and fishing - NO SWIMMING! Lake Cunningham Park is home to Raging Waters and Lake Cunningham Regional Skate Park.
