General Information

Olinder is located within Selma Olinder Park, 18th Street and East William Street, on a three-quarter-acre site at the south end of the park. It is designed to accommodate 20 to 30 dogs at one time and the surfacing consists mainly of wood chips and decomposed granite. 

Olinder’s pet-friendly amenities include a double-gated entry, separate large and small dog areas, fencing, and benches, fitting within the guidelines of the City’s Greenprint for Parks and Community Facilities and Programs. Mature trees provide valuable shade for both dogs and their owners. The dog park also includes 11 new parking spaces specifically for dog park users.

Dog Park Rules

  • Dogs must be accompanied at all times
  • No more than two dogs per person are allowed at one time
  • Children are only permitted in the dog park when accompanied by a guardian
  • Owners are responsible for picking up after their dog
  • All dogs must wear proof of license and have proper vaccinations
  • Dogs in heat are not permitted in the park
  • Dogs exhibiting bad or aggressive behavior will be required to leave the park
