  • Watch the Temporary Eviction Moratorium Webinar: Housing Department Deputy Director Rachel VanderVeen reviewed the City of San José ordinance that temporarily prohibits residential evictions for nonpayment of rent due to impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak, and took questions from online participants during a webinar on March 26, 2020. • Help Keep San José Parks Open: It’s up to everyone to abide by County of Santa Clara and State of California orders to shelter in place and keep six feet of distance between themselves and others. Our Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services Department has created this public service announcement to explain how you can still exercise without endangering your neighbors at local parks and trails. Beginning today, Alum Rock Park and the Communications Hill stairs are closed to the public, following concerns about serious overcrowding.
