City’s Annual Homelessness Report Shines Light on Progress, Future Plans in Effort to End Unsheltered Homelessness
SAN JOSE, Calif. (November 12, 2024) - The San José City Council received the City’s Consolidated Annual Homelessness Report at the Nov. 5 City Council meeting. The report provides insights into the City’s accomplishments in responding to homelessness across City departments during Fiscal Year 2023-2024. In addition, the report articulates a revised implementation strategy to resolve unsheltered homelessness by driving the work, shelter and housing services and systems that will help the City achieve functional zero in unsheltered homelessness where, on a night-to-night basis, a shelter option is available, and by making strategic investments at critical points on the housing continuum.
